RYA Stage 3 DINGHY SAILING
Course pre requisites Stage 3
- 8-14 years
- Must be able to swim.
- Stage 2 sailing ability
What to bring
- Bring a water bottle, hot drinks provided.
- Suitable footwear- old trainers, wetsuits boots/shoes (no flipflops or crocs)
- Wetsuit and buoyancy aid if you have, or we can provide.
- Windproof jacket and trousers.(we can provide wind jackets)
- Warm base layers to change into.
Understanding the course:
This course represents the next step toward achieving independent sailing. Over the span of two days, you will sail solo in your own boat, gaining proficiency in rigging, launching, and recovery manoeuvres, including coming alongside, capsize recovery, and sailing in various directions under moderate conditions. The course also includes brief onshore sessions for additional support. Enhance your skills in rigging, launching, and sailing with this engaging two-day program. The Stage 3 course will focus on rigging and launching your boat, recovery techniques, advanced sailing skills, coming alongside, capsize recovery, and sailing theory.
