An online course for Dinghy and Windsurfing Instructors, Senior Instructors, volunteers, and anyone working with children or vulnerable adults at an RYA club or training centre.
Required for all newly qualifying Dinghy/Windsurfing Instructors and Senior Instructors before attending their instructor course.

Format: Online
Duration: Approx. 3 hours - as an online course, you can complete it at your own pace, so it may take more or less time depending on your learning style.
Experience Required: None
Minimum Age: 16
The certificate does not expire. However, clubs and centres may require periodic refresher training in line with their safeguarding policy.
To enrol you on the course, we are required to share limited personal data with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) via your user profile on www.ryainteractive.org.
The learning platform is hosted by Learning Pool, a third-party provider who will only use your information to administer your course.
Your name and email address will be entered into www.ryainteractive.org to create your account.
On first login, you will be asked to provide your address and date of birth.
You will have one year to complete the course.
Your information will be accessible to this training centre and the RYA for course management purposes during this period.
Instructional support will be available from this training centre for 12 months from your booking date.
Upon successful completion:
Your name, email, date of birth, and address will be transferred to the RYA’s central database to record your certification.
This allows the RYA to update your records and verify your certificate if required.
After one year from enrolment, your user account will be removed from www.ryainteractive.org
Full details of how your personal data is handled will be provided when you first access the website.
When you book this course, we must manually enrol you on the RYA Interactive system. This applies to all RYA training centres.
Your account will be set up by close of play on the next working day. We apologise for the short delay — this is an RYA requirement rather than a centre-specific process.
