Please note: This suit (sized 6T) has a small compression mark on the front of the suit - please see photos.
*A small compression mark on a Yamamoto neoprene suit can sometimes fade over time, but it may not entirely disappear. However, it shouldn’t affect the performance of the wetsuit.
The Vitalis Breast Stroke is the first Orca wetsuit specifically designed for breaststroke swimming. Its pattern was designed for the movements of the breaststroke and the distribution of materials of different thicknesses allows you to maintain a natural swimming position without lifting your legs excessively. It is made with the most elastic materials, such as Yamamoto 39 FS technology, so that you can enjoy maximum flexibility and a feeling of complete freedom.
Characteristics
Breaststroke Swimming:
This wetsuit is the first of the Orca range designed and developed specifically for breaststroke swimming. The use of highly elastic materials and its thinness control buoyancy.
High Elasticity:
In addition to the use of flexible technologies such as 39FS, its pattern was specifically developed for the movements of the breaststroke.
Low Buoyancy:
The thin material in the leg area gives the suit a low buoyancy preventing the wetsuit from altering the swimmer's position in the water.
Composition:
Neoprene : 95 %, Polyamide (Nylon) : 5 %
BS FIT
The BS FIT pattern, designed for breaststroke swimming, allows the wetsuit to adapt to the movements of the upper body when swimming in this style.
V FIT
Orca women's wetsuits are designed with patterns specific to the female body, which improves both their performance and comfort. A better fit allows the materials to function in their optimal elasticity ranges and as the wetsuit fits closer to the skin, water is prevented from entering, improving overall thermal insulation and hydrodynamics.
38FS
Elasticity, high flexibility and total freedom of movement are brought together thanks to the combination of Yamamoto 38 neoprene, Infinity Skin 2 lining and Smoothskin surface finish. With this combination the open water swimmer will use 30% less force in fast movements and short strokes, while slower and wider movements will require 40% less force than with any other conventional neoprene.
Thermal Insulation
The design of this wetsuit allows it to provide sufficient thermal insulation
USC
Laser cutting in the neck area combined with the Hydrolite inner lining allows the wetsuit to seal to the body and prevents chafing. This combination and seal prevent water from flowing inside the suit, improving both thermal insulation and hydrodynamics for the swimmer.
YKK10
YKK10 zippers are high-performance and high-durability components. The durability of the zipper will help your suit last for a long service life, as well as prevent water from getting into the wetsuit while swimming.
Size and Fit Guide
- Wetsuits should feel snug on and you will probably feel that range of motion is slightly reduced, this is normal. However, make sure breathing doesn't feel restricted.
- Wetsuit fit should not be too loose. This would let water flow freely through the suit and would therefore lose all the benefits of the trapped water being warmed by your body.
- For a correct wetsuit fit, wrists, ankles and neck should be snug.
- The fit should not be too baggy in the underarm or leg area. Some bagginess at the small of the back is normal.
