How to put on a Orca swim wetsuit

Putting on a smooth skin swim wetsuit is different from your normal multi-purpose wetsuit. Swim wetsuits are missing the outer layer of protective fabric that you would see on conventional wetsuits. Orca and many of the top brands use Yamamoto (Limestone based) neoprene with a SCS protective coating.

With this, extra care is needed to put these wetsuits on. Orca has produced a great video to help you put these suits on.

Tips:

  • Use gloves or pads of your fingers rather than tips of your fingers. Orca suits come with gloves.
  • Starting with the legs, and palm of your hands, pull small sections on up your body rather than large sections.
  • Good fitting can take 15 minutes
  • Move loose sections to where it is tight
