October Half Term Activities
October Half-Term Activities for kids aged 8-16yrs (flexible). Based just outside Brighton on our own private lake. This is the ideal kids activity club for the school holidays.
This October Half Term, get ready for action on the water! We're running:
1) Youth Stage 1 Sailing Course
2) Youth Stage 3 Sailing Course
3) Mixed Sport Activity Days
Further Information:
1) RYA Youth Stage 1 Sailing course serves as an introduction to the world of sailing. Based at our sailing centre in Piddinghoe, 10 mins from Brighton. It is suitable for beginners with little to no prior experience. RYA Youth Stage 1, is 2 days of sailing (16 hrs).
RYA stage 1 takes your child to a confident level of sailing, ready for stage 2. Our lake is safe and secure, it has wind but without the sea's waves that are often over whelming for kids when learning.
Dates: Monday 27th & Tuesday 28th
Time: 9am to 5pm (both days)

2) RYA Youth Stage 3 Sailing Course represents the next step of improving independent sailing. Over the span of two days, you will sail solo in your own boat, gaining proficiency in rigging, launching, and recovery manoeuvres, including coming alongside, capsize recovery, and sailing in various directions under moderate conditions. The course also includes brief onshore sessions for additional support.
The Stage 3 course will focus on rigging and launching your boat, recovery techniques, advanced sailing skills, coming alongside, capsize recovery, and sailing theory.
Dates: Wednesday 29th & Thursday 30th
Time: 9am to 5pm (both days)

3) Mixed Sport Activity Days
These activity days are designed to balance fun and learning new skills. The day covers and develops a wide range of skills, abilities, goals, aimed at ages (8-16).
Activities we aim to provide:
- Try Sailing (Taster)
- Paddle boarding
- Jumbo paddle boarding

Dates: Tuesday 28th & Thursday 30th (each day must be booked separately)
Time: 9am to 3pm
Price: £65 (per day)

What we provide:
- Wetsuits and cags
- Buoyancy aids.
You are welcome to bring your own kit
What you need:
- Warm clothing.
- Old shoes or wet shoes,
- Lunch,
- Reusable Water Bottle,
- Shower kit.
All kids must have entry level swim ability

Blue Green Algae Notice
Blue Green Algae is found in most UK inland waterways and can be found in Piddinghoe Lake. While usually harmless, seasonal peaks can cause visible symptoms.
